The Global Disaster Research Navigator is a curated, searchable directory of organizations, databases, and resources for disaster risk reduction (DRR). It serves researchers, graduate students, practitioners, and policymakers who need quick access to authoritative DRR resources worldwide.
This edition broadens regional coverage so users can more easily reach Africa, the Caribbean, Central America, the Andean region, the Pacific, the Arab States, and Europe & Central Asia. It also strengthens specialized pathways for health, remote sensing, early warning, humanitarian coordination, and disaster risk financing.
This project was inspired by the “World Links on International Organizations Related to Disaster Prevention,” originally developed at the Disaster Information Laboratory (DIL) of the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), Japan. The directory has been independently redesigned with a new category structure, fresh descriptions, and modern search capabilities.
